After building an enviable reputation for themselves in the clubs of Paris, French-born Berlin-based Jennifer Cardini has become an international concern. For the last 30 years, they have been welcoming people into the discotheque with sets fusing techno, electro, and disco. Yet their dancefloor philosophy is reflected not only by their sets and the music released on their labels, but also by their engagement in support of the LGBT community. Their belief that liberation was hidden under the surface of electronic music has put them at the helm of tiny, sweaty lesbian bars, flamboyant Ibiza superclubs, and off-the-beaten-path warehouse raves — ultimately establishing Cardini as a regular at the world’s most prestigious clubs and most respected festivals. Yet just as soon as the mainstream thinks they know how to define them, they’re onto something else.
